Studio Hermetica meditation music

Please enjoy my contribution to 2024’s World Sound Healing Day.

This piece was inspired by my recent trip to India and retreat at the Heartfulness Kanha Shanti Vanam. The focus here is the ‘Fourth Knot’ or chakra point, which centers on the element of water. You can see the other knots here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2STipQRZOg&ab_channel=heartfulness

The music is built on a pedal A, with some flourishes added in using major and pentatonic patterns, as well as a pentatonic ‘Shepard Tone’ throughout to create a constantly uplifting feeling. Of course, there are the sounds of ocean waves throughout. The piece ends with the sound of the breeze, to make way for the Fifth Knot, which centers on the element of air.

The flourishes and arpeggios were created using Musescore and LMMS, whilst the synthesizer tones came from a Yamaha Motif, with the whole piece being recorded and mixed using Ardour.
